How many categories can I have?

Store-Logic allows you to have as many categories as needed, there is no limit. However, we recommend not making category trees more than 5 levels deep for best practice reasons. If a user has to click five time to get to a product it makes the site hard to navigate and it is less likely customers will find what they are looking for.

Can I add a discount for an entire category?

Yes. You can discount all products in a category by a percentage by entering the percent of the discount in the discount field of the category Add/Edit screen.

How do I apply a shipping rule to only certain categories?

Store-Logic allows you to create shipping rules that only apply to the categories you designate. So for example if you wanted to offer free shipping for all Mens Shoes, you would create a shipping rule to apply to this category.

How many products can I have in my store?

Store-Logic allows an unlimited number of products in your e-commerce store. Our monthly hosting fees are based on the number of active products you have in your store (click here for our pricing table).

What do I do if I don't know the dimensions of my product?

If you are using live shipping rates such as UPS Live Rates, all products MUST have a weight assigned (if it is unknown, you must estimate). If the dimensions (L x W x H) are unknown, they can be left blank unless this is an unporportionate product such as a motorcycle fender (wide dimensions yet light).

How do I add a YouTube Video to a product?
  1. Get the embed code for the YouTube video from YouTube's website.
  2. Go the Edit Product screen and click on the Product Info tab.
  3. Click the button on the product description editor (top-left)
  4. Scroll to the bottom and paste the Youtube embed code from Step 1.
  5. Click the button again to preview the page.
  6. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen.
How do I make a copy of a product?

Making a copy of an existing product will create a new product identical to the one you are copying including images, files, options, SEO details, tabs and related products and categories.

  1. Go to the Product Edit Screen of the product you want to make a copy of
  2. At the top of the Product Edit Screen (above the tabs) there is an icon to copy the product you are currently working on. Click on this icon to create a copy of this product. The page will refresh showing the new product as "Copy of [product name]" allowing you to edit the copy you created.

How long will my saved shopping carts be available?

Carts are automatically cleaned out every 30 days.

Why do I have so many abandoned carts?

Abandoned carts are normal. All stores will have abandoned carts due to the nature of internet shopping and the "window shopping" effect. Care should be taken when the abandoned carts greatly outweigh the number of completed orders.

Can I process a shopping cart?

At this time you do not have to ability to process a shopping cart. If the customer calls and wants to complete an abandoned cart, you will have to create it again.
